The 2 Components of Lasting Change

couragechangeIt takes both courage AND conviction to realize lasting change.

Church leaders need an unflinching boldness to act as well as an unshaken belief in the outcome. One without the other form patterns of behavior within the staff and congregation that cause regressive growth.

courage without conviction produces reckless activity

and

conviction without courage produces restless conversation

but

courage with conviction produces redemptive movement

Leadership is not just knowing what needs to change, but also knowing whether courage or conviction is missing to ensure long-term success. Wisdom is waiting until both are fully formed, before forging ahead.

What change are you facing today?

Do you have both the conviction and the courage to go ahead?
